1. ABOUT THIS COOKIE POLICY
1.1 This Cookie Policy applies to Astralway and the website and online services operated through Astralway.world.
1.2 During development or testing, it may also apply to an authorised Astralway development or staging domain where the same cookies or similar technologies are used.

(h) providing functionality requested by users.
1.4 Some technologies are necessary for Astralway to operate. Others may be optional or may be used only where the applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.
1.5 Where consent is legally required, optional cookies or similar technologies will not be used for the relevant purpose until you have made the appropriate choice.

3. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
3.1 Cookies are small files or pieces of information that can be stored on your computer, smartphone, tablet or other device when you visit or use an online service.
3.2 Cookies can enable a website or online service to recognise a device, remember information about a visit or maintain information between pages or sessions.
3.3 Cookies can perform many different functions, including:
(a) maintaining a secure login session;
(b) remembering preferences;
(c) supporting checkout or payment processes;
(d) helping protect an online service against fraud or misuse;
(e) measuring how an online service is used; and
(f) improving functionality and user experience.
4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
4.1 This Policy uses the term “cookies” for convenience, but the relevant rules can apply more broadly to technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device.
4.2 These technologies may include:
(a) cookies;
(b) browser or web storage;
(c) pixels;
(d) tags;
(e) scripts;
(f) software development kits where applicable;
(g) device identifiers; and
(h) other storage or access technologies.
4.3 The technologies actually used by Astralway will depend on the technical configuration of the Platform and the services enabled at the relevant time.
5. COOKIE LAW
5.1 Our use of cookies and similar technologies is governed principally by applicable UK privacy and electronic communications law, including the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (“PECR”), as amended.
5.2 Where information collected or processed through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, applicable data protection legislation may also apply, including:
(a) the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”);
(b) the Data Protection Act 2018;
(c) the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025; and
(d) other applicable data protection and privacy legislation.
5.3 Our processing of personal data is explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
6. TYPES OF COOKIES AND TECHNOLOGIES WE MAY USE
6.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
6.1.1 Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies are used where they are essential to provide a service or functionality requested by you or where another applicable legal exception applies.
6.1.2 They may be used for purposes such as:
(a) authenticating users;
(b) maintaining secure Account sessions;
(c) remembering information necessary during checkout;
(d) processing or facilitating transactions;
(e) preventing fraud or protecting Platform security;
(f) balancing network or server loads;
(g) remembering privacy or cookie choices where necessary; and
(h) enabling essential Platform functionality.
6.1.3 Where a cookie or similar technology meets an applicable legal exception from the consent requirement, we do not need to obtain your consent before using it for that exempt purpose.
6.1.4 We will nevertheless provide appropriate information about these technologies.
6.2 Functional and Preference Technologies
6.2.1 Astralway may use technologies that remember choices or preferences and allow the Platform to operate in a way that reflects those choices.
6.2.2 These may include preferences relating to:
(a) display or interface settings;
(b) language or regional settings;
(c) accessibility or appearance settings;
(d) previously selected Platform preferences; and
(e) other functionality requested by you.
6.2.3 Depending on the purpose and circumstances, these technologies may require consent or may fall within an applicable legal exception.
6.2.4 Where an exception applies, we will provide the information and ability to object required by law.
6.3 Analytics and Statistical Technologies
6.3.1 Astralway may use analytics or statistical technologies to understand how users interact with the Platform.
6.3.2 These technologies may help us understand matters such as:
(a) which parts of Astralway are used;
(b) how users navigate through the Platform;
(c) whether pages or features operate effectively;
(d) technical performance;
(e) errors or problems encountered by users;
(f) aggregated usage patterns; and
(g) how we can improve Astralway.
6.3.3 Some statistical uses may qualify for an exception from the requirement to obtain consent where all applicable legal conditions are satisfied.
6.3.4 Where we rely on such an exception, the relevant technology will be used solely for the permitted statistical purpose, and we will provide clear information about its use and an easy way for you to object as required by law.
6.3.5 Where the applicable requirements for an exception are not satisfied, we will obtain consent before using analytics technologies where consent is legally required.
6.3.6 Astralway's analytics provider is Google Analytics, property G-XBJD7VZEYZ.
6.3.7 That service is listed in section 9. It loads only after you Accept analytics cookies, and IP anonymisation is on. Declining analytics does not stop the rest of Astralway from working.
6.4 Advertising and Targeting Technologies
6.4.1 Astralway does not currently intend to use cookies or similar technologies for behavioural or targeted advertising unless this is specifically introduced and appropriately disclosed.
6.4.2 If advertising or targeting technologies are introduced in the future, we will update this Policy and the relevant cookie controls before using them.
6.4.3 Where consent is legally required for advertising, tracking or similar purposes, those technologies will not be used for those purposes unless the required consent has been obtained.
7. FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
7.1 A first-party cookie is set by, or on behalf of, the online service you are using.
7.2 A third-party cookie may be set by another organisation whose technology or service is integrated with the Platform.
7.3 Astralway may use third-party service providers for functions such as:
(a) payment processing;
(b) analytics;
(c) hosting or infrastructure;
(d) security;
(e) authentication;
(f) AI-related functionality;
(g) email or communications; and
(h) other technical services.
7.4 The use of a third-party service does not necessarily mean that the provider places cookies on your device.
7.5 The third-party cookies and similar technologies used by Astralway are listed in section 9. That list is the live inventory.
8. SESSION AND PERSISTENT COOKIES
8.1 Cookies may be either session cookies or persistent cookies.
8.2 Session cookies generally remain in use only for the duration of a browser session and are normally removed when the browser is closed.
8.3 Persistent cookies remain on a device for a specified period or until they are deleted.
8.4 The duration of each cookie or similar technology used by Astralway is stated in section 9.
8.5 We aim to ensure that cookies and similar technologies are retained for no longer than is appropriate for their purpose.
9. COOKIES AND TECHNOLOGIES USED BY ASTRALWAY
9.1 Section 9 is the live list of cookies and similar technologies used by Astralway.
9.2 For each technology we record:
(a) cookie or technology name;

10. COOKIE CONSENT AND OTHER LAWFUL EXCEPTIONS
10.1 Not every cookie or similar technology requires consent.
10.2 Applicable law provides exceptions for certain storage and access activities where the relevant statutory requirements are satisfied.
10.3 Depending on the purpose and configuration of a technology, this may include technologies used:
(a) for the transmission of a communication;
(b) where strictly necessary to provide an online service requested by you;
(c) solely for qualifying statistical purposes;
(d) solely to adapt the appearance or functionality of a service in accordance with your preferences; or
(e) for another applicable statutory exception.
10.4 The availability of an exception depends on the particular purpose and way in which the technology is used.
10.5 We will not classify a technology as exempt merely because it is useful to us or improves our business.
10.6 Where an exception does not apply and consent is required, we will seek appropriate consent before using the technology for that purpose.
11. HOW WE ASK FOR CONSENT
11.1 Where consent is required, Astralway will provide an appropriate cookie or privacy control mechanism.
11.2 This mechanism should allow you to make an informed choice about relevant categories of cookies or similar technologies.
11.3 Non-essential technologies requiring consent must not be activated for the relevant purpose before valid consent has been obtained.
11.4 Consent must involve a clear positive choice and will not be inferred merely because you continue to browse or use Astralway.
11.5 Where appropriate, the cookie controls should provide options such as:
(a) accepting relevant optional technologies;
(b) rejecting relevant optional technologies;
(c) selecting categories individually; and
(d) reviewing or changing your preferences later.
11.6 Refusing optional cookies should not prevent access to core Astralway functionality unless the relevant technology is genuinely necessary to provide a particular feature you have requested.
12. CHANGING OR WITHDRAWING YOUR CHOICES
12.1 Where consent is the basis for using a cookie or similar technology, you may withdraw that consent.
12.2 Where Astralway relies on an applicable statistical or appearance exception that requires an opportunity to object, you will be provided with an easy way to exercise that objection.
12.3 Astralway should provide a persistent or readily accessible method for reviewing cookie choices, such as a:
“Cookie Settings” or “Manage Cookies” link.
12.4 Cookie Settings is available in the public footer, the signed-in account sidebar, and a control on this page. It reopens the analytics consent controls so you can Accept or Decline.
12.5 Changing your preferences will not necessarily delete cookies already stored on your device. You may also remove stored cookies through your browser or device settings.
13. BROWSER AND DEVICE CONTROLS
13.1 Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings.
13.2 Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
(a) view stored cookies;
(b) delete cookies;
(c) block cookies;
(d) block third-party cookies;
(e) allow cookies only for selected websites;
(f) clear cookies when you close your browser; or
(g) use private or incognito browsing features.
13.3 Browser and device controls vary and may change over time. Please refer to the current help or privacy settings provided by your browser or device manufacturer.
13.4 Blocking all cookies may affect some Astralway functionality, particularly functionality that relies on essential login, security, Account or transaction technologies.
14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
14.1 Astralway may integrate services provided by third parties.
14.2 Depending on how those services are implemented, they may use cookies or other storage and access technologies.
14.3 Potential third-party services include:
(a) Stripe or other payment-processing services;
(b) analytics services;
(c) authentication services;
(d) hosting and security services;
(e) AI providers; and
(f) other services necessary to operate or improve Astralway.
14.4 The third-party services that currently place or access information on users' devices are:
(a) Google Analytics, after you Accept analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_XBJD7VZEYZ);
(b) Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which load Astralway's brand typefaces and do not set first-party cookies; and
(c) Stripe Checkout (checkout.stripe.com), which may set cookies on Stripe's own domain when you pay.
AI model providers, email delivery and application hosting process data on our servers and do not set cookies on your device.
14.5 More information about third parties that process personal information in connection with Astralway is provided in our Privacy Policy.
15. PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIES
15.1 Some cookies or similar technologies may involve the processing of personal data.
15.2 This may include information such as:
(a) online identifiers;
(b) IP addresses;
(c) device or browser information;
(d) Account or session identifiers;
(e) usage information; and
(f) preference information.
15.3 Where personal data is processed, we will comply with applicable data protection law in addition to the rules governing storage and access technologies.
15.4 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information and describes your data-protection rights.
16. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING
16.1 Some third-party providers used by Astralway may process information outside the United Kingdom.
16.2 Where cookie or similar technology data constitutes personal data and is transferred internationally, we will apply the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
16.3 Further information about international transfers is provided in our Privacy Policy.
17. CHILDREN
17.1 Astralway is intended only for users aged 18 or over.
17.2 You must be at least 18 years old to create an Astralway Account or purchase or use Astralway Services restricted to registered users.
17.3 Our approach to age requirements and children's privacy is explained further in our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
18. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
18.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time.
18.2 Reasons for doing so may include:
(a) changes to the cookies or similar technologies used by Astralway;
(b) changes to third-party providers;
(c) new or changed Platform functionality;
(d) changes to applicable law or regulatory guidance; or
(e) improvements to the clarity or accuracy of this Policy.
18.3 The “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this Policy will be changed when the Policy is updated.
18.4 Where a change materially affects how optional cookies or similar technologies are used, we will update the relevant cookie controls and seek fresh consent where required.
18.5 We encourage users to review this Policy periodically.
19. YOUR RIGHTS
19.1 Where information collected through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, you may have rights under applicable data protection law.
19.2 Depending on the circumstances, these may include rights relating to:
(a) access;
(b) correction;
(c) deletion;
(d) restriction;
(e) objection;
(f) data portability; and
(g) withdrawal of consent.
19.3 These rights and how to exercise them are explained in our Privacy Policy.
